bluesfest 2026

Byron Bay, 15 January 2026 – Byron Bay Bluesfest has announced major additions to its 2026 lineup, welcoming Parkway Drive, Erykah Badu, and The Wailers to the festival’s 37th edition. The event, held over Easter at Byron Events Farm, promises a diverse programme spanning genres and generations, with significant site upgrades enhancing the experience for attendees.

New Additions to the Lineup

Parkway Drive, the Byron Bay-formed metalcore band, will make their first major hometown festival appearance since high school performances in 2014. Festival Director Peter Noble OAM described it as a “full circle moment” for the group, which has achieved global success with eight studio albums and ARIA Awards.

Erykah Badu returns to Australia after 14 years, reuniting with Bluesfest on Good Friday alongside Earth, Wind & Fire. Known for her neo-soul influence and five Grammy Awards, Badu’s improvisational performances are highly anticipated.

The Wailers will present a three-night residency celebrating 50 Years of Positive Vibrations, honouring Bob Marley & The Wailers’ legacy. Led by Aston Barrett Jr., the sets will draw from albums like Legend, Natural Mystic, and Rastaman Vibration, offering unique performances each night.

Site Upgrades for 2026

Bluesfest organisers have introduced the largest site upgrades yet, focusing on comfort and accessibility. The Crossroads Tent has doubled in size with improved sightlines and weather protection, including a dedicated camp chair area and all-day grandstand seating. The Camp Chair Area now restricts low-profile chairs for safety, while the Platinum Area prioritises premium viewing. The Mojo Tent features rear chairs and side-of-stage options for Platinum ticketholders.
